Runnin' Moon

Named for an Indian Maiden in an old Western movie, Runnin' Moon is a new, spacious cabin in the Lakewood Estates development just across the highway from the entrance to Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. This 2,200 sq ft cabin sleeps 12 in beds and features an open floor plan with plenty of room for your entire family. There are also two large couches in the living area for extra guests. The living area is open to the spacious kitchen and dining area. The focal point of the family room is the gorgeous,2-story rock gas-log fire place. The cabin is furnished with real log furniture made by a local artisan. The master suite features a king bed and a private bathroom with both a shower and a large soaking tub. The second downstairs king suite has a combination tub/shower unit and the third queen bedroom has a full tub/shower bath adjacent to the bedroom. The family room also has a queen sleeper sofa for extra guests. Upstairs in the loft you can enjoy an evening of game time with the foosball table and a large shuffleboard. An additional full bath is located in the loft for guests. The kids will also enjoy the PS4 gaming system in the loft. And, kids or adults can get a great night's sleep in the double queen bunks. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed to prepare a wonderful meal with friends and family. The dining area and kitchen bar provide seating for more than 10 people to enjoy a family meal. After a day exploring all the nearby attractions, you and your friends can relax in the 6-person Hot Tub on the covered back porch. Then, enjoy the outside fire ring with firewood provided an challenge your friends to a game of horseshoes. The front and back decks are both covered providing plenty of space to enjoy the towering pines surrounding the cabin.

  This was a few firsts for our family. 1. Traveling with another family. 2. Traveling to Broken Bow. The Runnin Moon Cabin was hands down such a great pick for two family’s with kids ranging from 5-8YO. The kids had a blast. They pretty much had all upstairs to themselves with bunk beds. Games. A table they could eat at to watch a movie and popcorn (we provided). Beds were comfortable. The place was CLEAN! Both downstairs bedrooms were equally the same in the showers and space. There was another bedroom ducked off to the side downstairs that was also great for the kids that didn’t want to sleep with the rest. We would definitely rent this particular cabin again if we were coming back with kids. Brenda was the property manager that was assisting us and was AMAZING with communication.
  Everyone wants to hear a negative so I can make one up, you have to bring your own foil, seasoning, ziplock bags, etc. which we did so it was no issue for us.
  Laundry detergent, trash bags, toilet paper, etc is provided by the property.

  Cabin was great! Once of the best we've had! There were some issues that caused us a bit of heart burn. But not a big deal. 1. Stove wouldn't come off broiler 2. Ice maker constantly freezing over. But the fire pit was awesome and the games in the cabin were a big hit. :)

  We had a wonderful experience at Runnin'Moon starting with Brenda, who had to work with us on a few schedule issues on our part. She was so very helpful! Also, the cabin is exactly as described and have everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.
  
  We loved the shuffle board, the fire pit, hot tub and the proximity to Hochatown and Beaver's Bend.
  
  It was just perfect for our family of five (but it can hold more for sure) and I highly recommend it.

  Very nice cabin, well-appointed. Indoor & outdoor towels, and cozy blankets for sitting outside on cool mornings & evenings. The porches were fantastic! The only drawback was the lack of separation between the game loft and living area - the shuffleboard and general enjoyment of the games resonated throughout the entire cabin, which wasn't so pleasant for those downstairs at the time. Overall, we were pleased with our cabin and experience.

  This was our first time in the area. Running Moon was the perfect cabin! It was spotless. When we arrived it smelled so clean, it was reassuring that they had cleaned the place from top to bottom. The beds were fabulous and very comfortable. We cooked all but 3 meals at the cabin during our 5 day stay. It was the perfect place to get away and relax. Only downside was the power had been knocked out due to a storm and we didn’t know about it until we had arrived. The power did come on at some point in the middle of the night though. Typically when we go on vacation we are gone all day doing things. But we found ourselves enjoying the cabin so much that we stayed in a lot more than we normally do on vacation.
